Halitech Solutions · Halifax, Nova Scotia

Applied AI that separates the signal from the noise.

We work in two areas: AI research that cleans movement noise out of wearable ECG signals, and Halitech Academy, practical AI training for business leaders and their teams.

What we do

Two areas, one discipline

Both start from the same habit: understand the data and the people using it before applying a model.

Health AI research

Motion-artifact reduction for wearable ECG

When people move, wearable ECG signals pick up noise that can hide or imitate real heart activity. Our methods detect and correct that noise so remote monitoring can rely on the signal.

  • The motion sensor shows when the ECG can't be trusted
  • Wavelet features, machine learning and a denoising autoencoder
  • Detect, confirm and clean: 98.8% detection accuracy in peer-reviewed tests
